This is just a short note to thank you for making my house so beautiful. When you started the work in late summer last year I never dreamt I would be so thrilled with the result.

The cupboards and shelves in the sitting room are so smart everyone comments on them; the radiator covers finish off the sitting room completely. You also did lots of extra bits of work on my kitchen door, hall door and attic door, not to mention making the frames for my fabric pictures, helping put up other pictures and fixing cupboard handles.

I think the two of you operate really well as a team – which is very important for the sort of work you do. It is because of this team spirit that people can depend on you to give them exactly what they want. I hope you will both go from strength to strength and I shall follow your progress with considerable interest.

It would be impossible for me to praise Jamie too highly for the work that he and his colleague, Tyrone Ellis, have carried out in my flat.

It started with what seemed like a boring kitchen refurbishment. But that was not straightforward and needed design input and amendment.

And then it developed into a full-blown project within my home. The creativity shown by Jamie was transformed into technical genius when he built an office that folds away into a cupboard under the stairs and a solid ash ladder, complete with wooden wheels, so that I can get to the top of my newly-built (by Jamie and Tyrone) walk-in wardrobe, without resorting to hunting down the stepladder.

Not only is there great creative and technical talent within the team, they are also a joy to have in the house.

Every appointment was kept and every job finished to a standard that exceeded my expectations. They are polite, conscientious, tidy and mindful of causing the least disruption to a working household and minimising costs without ever compromising quality.

Early last year, I decided that enough was enough. I was determined to replace the cupboard in my sitting room with something that had proper, not sliding, doors and a back panel. So I rang my roofer...

This is not as crazy as it sounds. Jamie Parr came to me highly recommended by my roofer, and I was soon to discover what a gem he was.

I contacted Jamie and we arranged that he would come and take some measurements one evening in the week. He arrived on the dot – not a minute earlier or later. He then proceeded to suggest what might be done with the space we had, took some measurements and promised to email me with drawings and an estimate. This itself was a departure from the norm – Jamie emailed me within the week and I was so impressed I immediately told him to go ahead.

In the few weeks it took to do the job, things went very smoothly. Jamie brought me a sample of the wood he was going to use, kept me up to date with progress and finally came and fitted two cupboards in the sitting room alcoves and 6 shelves. They were stained and varnished within a few days and brass handles put on.

I was overjoyed – the result was stunning and I couldn't wait to put my pictures, ornaments and books on the shelves and other things in the cupboards.

Jamie had proved himself to be a consummate craftsman – a master carpenter who is very skilled in his trade. He was professional throughout, a good time-keeper who came and went when he said he would and someone who did such a good job there was nothing to complain about. I have now used him more than once and told others about him.

Jamie Parr is a genius craftsman in wood trades; he delivers to a high standard, takes pride in his work, is courteous, reliable, hard-working and tidy. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone wanting their property enhanced by the talents and artistry he brings to every job.
